Archived: Habitat for Humanity to help Haiti

Habitat for Humanity wants to help Haiti re-build following the 7.0 earthquake in January. The nationwide organization is launching a $60 million dollar campaign to get 50,000 Haitian families in homes over the next five years.

The Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity is joining other affiliates across the country to reach that goal. Locally, the group is hoping to raise $2,000 dollars over the next two weeks. Board and staff members have pledged to match dollar for dollar, up to $1,000 dollars.

If you’d like to take part, you can donate online at www.cmhfh.org. You can also send in a check to Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity at 701 2nd Street North. St. Cloud, MN 56303. Please note that you would like your donation to go towards Haiti.
