Archived: Heat Wave

The temperature reached 100 degrees at 3:00 p.m. in St. Cloud on Tuesday, June 7th. These high heats have not been met in almost five years. Luckily the intense winds with gusts over 40 MPH helped to keep bodies cool. Even after the sun goes down, temperatures will remain in the upper 90’s to low 100’s on days such as this. High temperatures can bring stress to the body and more easily to the elderly and children. Staying inside for most of the daylight hours and postponing strenuous work outdoors is suggested.
