Lifelong St. Cloud resident Bruce Hentges has filed as a Democratic candidate to replace Tarryl Clark in Minnesota Senate District 15. Clark is stepping down from her seat as she attempts to unseat Republican Representative Michele Bachmann in the election for Minnesota’s 6th District. Hentges, a St. Cloud School Board member, grew up in Clear Lake and attended went to school in St. Cloud. He received his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University, and his Master’s Degree from St. Cloud State University. So far, Hentges is the only DFL candidate to step forward in the senate race for District 15. The district covers St. Cloud, Waite Park, St. Augusta, Rockville, and Haven Township.
