Archived: Higher Co-Pays for Veterans Begins July 1

About 2,000 veterans living in Stearns County will be affected by a change in co-pays for prescription medications. The Department of Veterans Affairs announced that veterans with higher incomes and no service-connected disability will now pay an additional $1 for each 30 day supply of medications. Taking place July 1, this increase from $8 to $9 is the first change in medication co-pay at the VA since January of 2006.
