Drivers traveling on Highway 23 from Highway 95 East of St. Cloud will encounter a detour beginning next Monday. Construction will resume to expand Highway 23 East of St. Cloud to a four-lane divided highway.

Local businesses and residents will be able to access the road during the detour. Two new lanes were constructed in 2011. This year’s work will include reconstructing the existing two lanes along with the turn lanes.

The goal of the project is to improve safety and mobility along the Highway 23 corridor. A detour map can be found here.
