A celebration of a growing Minnesota culture will take place this weekend at St. Cloud State. The Hmong Student Organization is hosting Hmong Night Saturday in the Atwood Ballroom. There are more than 43,000 Hmong living in Minnesota, which years ago became a common destination for Hmong refugees leaving their war-torn communities in Asia. In addition to food and entertainment, Hmong Night will feature a presentation by author and Hmong historian, Paul Hilmer. The event is from 5:30 to 11:00 pm. Tickets are $5 dollars for members of the public and $3 dollars for students.
