Archived: Household Hazardous Waste Truck Collection
A Stearns County Household Hazardous Waste Truck will be in St. Augusta doing a collection. The truck travels to cities around Stearns County over the spring and summer months collecting hazardous products homeowners no longer want or need.
This is a chance for people to get rid of unsafe or nuisance products lying around such as paints, cleaners, poisons, ink/toner cartridges, roofing tar, fuels, automotive chemicals, sealers, garden chemicals, pool chemicals, fluorescent bulbs, adhesives, aerosols, solvents, mothballs and mecury.
Products that cannot be disposed of are used motor oil, antifreeze, explosives, furniture, household garbage, tires, medical waste, appliances or any other unknown products. Also not accepted is business waste as this collection is designed to collect home products.
Products can be disposed of at no charge. The truck will be in St. Augusta at City Hall on Saturday, May 19th from 7 a.m. till 11 a.m.
