The SCSU Men’s hockey team announced today that they have added forward Joe Rehkamp (Plymouth, MN/Breck) from Waterloo of the USHL for the remainder of the 2011-12 season. Rehkamp will be available for this week’s series vs WMU.  

The departure of Mitch MacMillan left the Huskies a forward short, leading to the signing of Rehkamp during the USHL season. The 5’11, 180-pound forward scored eight goals and charted six assists in 23 games this year.

"Joe will be a great addition to our team," head coach Bob Motzko said. "His experience and skills will add quality depth to our offense."

Motzko added that he was grateful for Waterloo’s support, quality and integrity in working with the Huskies. 

Rehkamp was a four-year standout at Breck School, leading the Mustangs to a class A title in 2009. He will wear #16 with the Huskies.
