Archived: Huskies Go 1-1 on Road

Winona State shot lights-out on Friday night to hand the St. Cloud State men’s basketball team their worst loss of the season 88-67. The Warriors knocked down 60 percent of their shots from the field and went an amazing 17-of-25 from the three-point line. Taylor Witt led the Huskies in scoring with 21 points in the losing effort.

SCSU was able to pick up a win on the weekend on Saturday as they took down the Peacocks of Upper Iowa 79-67. Witt continued his strong weekend as the senior captain notched 30 points in the contest. Sophomore Scott Hawkins helped out Witt by scoring 17 points and grabbing seven rebounds.

The Huskies are now 12-9 overall and 11-6 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. They will head back on the road next weekend to take on Minnesota-State Mankato and Southwest Minnesota State. Follow KVSC Sports on twitter for results of those games.
