Archived: Huskies Take 3 from Beavers
After a spilt on Friday, the St.Cloud State Baseball team swept Bemidji State last Saturday and took three of four games against the Beavers. The Huskies used strong pitching and timely hitting to improve their overall mark to 8-2 on the season.
Nick Anderson picked up his second win of the year after pitching five innings of shutout ball with seven strikeouts on Saturday before David Deminsky threw a one-run complete game.
Freshman Jordan Smith continued his early season success with multiple hits on the weekend as his batting average continues to sit around .500.
Up next for St.Cloud is a trip to Springfield, Missouri at the Heffington Optical Invitational where they will play some of the top teams in Division II baseball.
