Archived: Huskies Win Pair of Games in South Dakota

All it took was a trip to South Dakota for the St. Cloud State women’s basketball team to get their game going as they defeated Black Hills State 63-61 and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology 67-43.

The Huskies were led in the Black Hills win by senior guard Talisha Barlow. The team’s returning leading scorer, Barlow had a team high 15 points and also added six rebounds.

The Huskies finished off the weekend against the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology 67-43 in a game that saw first-year forward Jessica Benson notch a double-double. The Grand Meadow, Minnesota native finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. The Huskies are now 3-1 on the season and will head to North Dakota to take on the University of Mary in their NSIC opener on Friday.
