St. Cloud State’s nationally ranked baseball team took down Augustana 8-1 in game one of a doubleheader, then saw game two halted due to time constraints with the score tied 8-8.  Game two will be resumed in early May when the Vikings visit Joe Faber Field. 

The second game was stopped due to a time limit for teams renting out the Metrodome. The rest of the SCSU schedule is to be played outdoors.

The Huskies’ NSIC season begins this weekend with a pair of doubleheaders at Winona State. Winona State ended the Huskies 2011 season with a rain-soaked, 10-inning win at Dick Putz Field in the central regional.
