Men’s Basketball Drops 2 Straight.

The St. Cloud State men’s basketball team had their 6 game win streak snapped on Thursday, Dec 18 by the Sioux Falls Cougars.  

Thursday’s game saw the Huskies fall to Sioux Falls 77-82 despite a career high 30 points from Luke Winkel.  Cougar guard Brogan Madson shot 10 of 14 from the field and led the game with 33 points.  The Cougars stellar defense proved problematic for the Huskies as SCSU was held to 31.4 percent shooting from the field.  

On Saturday, SCSU struggled to find the basket and were defeated by the SMSU Mustangs 54-64.  St. Cloud State’s Nate Dahl led the game with 17 points and shot 5-10 from the field.  SMSU’s Jakob Braten finished with 16 points and was one of three Mustangs to score 14 points or more in the game.
