Archived: Husky Women’s Hockey Forward Brittany Toor Earns WCHA Scholarship

Husky women’s hockey senior forward Brittany Toor has been named as a recipient of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Post-Graduate Scholarship for 2012-13.

The WCHA scholarships are grants of ten thousand dollars each that are given to graduating WCHA student-athletes for excellence on the ice and in the classroom. Toor and Montana Vichorek of Bemidji State University are the co-recipients this year receiving five thousand dollars each.

Toor was a leading scorer for the Huskies and also a leader off the ice where she graduates with a 3.91 GPA and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She is the 8th best all-time scorer in SCSU women’s hockey history. She earned the WCHA Scholar-Athlete award three times and was named to the All-WCHA academic team three times. She was also on the Dean’s list all four years at SCSU.
