Icy Roads Cause Vehicle Rollover Near Meire Grove

The Minnesota State Patrol says icy roads are to blame for an accident this morning near Meire Grove.

The accident happened on Highway 71 just after 10 a.m. when 24-year-old Gary Lee Jones was driving a pick-up truck with two passengers.

Jones lost control on the icy road and the truck went off the road and rolled. A 36-year-old and 12-year-old passenger were injured. They were taken to Sauk Centre Hospital and their injuries are not considered life threatening.

The two passengers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
