A man came home to discover someone in his kitchen who was trying to steal from him. The incident was called into police on Wednesday shortly after 2:30 p.m. The 29-year-old victim, who lives in the 3400 block of 3rd Street North, told police he knew the suspect, but he was not supposed to be in his apartment. The suspect had apparently removed a window screen on the ground floor apartment and forced the window open.

28 year old Phu Viet Dam was taken to the Stearns County Jail where he faces 4th degree burglary, harassment-restraining order violation and criminal trespass charges.
