A burglary Saturday at J & K Meats in Brooten saw a cash register and file cabinet stolen from the processing facility. According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, the front door of the building was forced open with a pry bar sometime after the business closed Saturday evening. Both the cash register and file cabinet were later recovered along a roadway in a rural area near Brooten.
