Archived: Knife Assault Against Sauk Rapids Teen

Sauk Rapids police are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted the mother of his son… and then his son.  They were called to a home at 312 3rd Avenue North just after 11p.m. Tuesday night.  The victims told police 52 year old Walter Maurice Harris had allegedly assaulted the mother first.  The police report says Harris then fought with his 16-year-old son, eventual stabbing him with a kitchen paring knife.

The teen was treated and released at the St. Cloud Hospital.  Harris fled the scene prior to police arriving and the search for him is ongoing. He is described as having brown skin, five feet eleven inches tall, 190 to 200 pounds, and having an athletic build. He was wearing a blue jean jacket with green sleeves at the time he fled.
