The Minnesota Department of Transportation says a number of road construction projects begin this week in central Minnesota.

First, on Division Street in Waite Park, drivers can expect lane closures at the 28th Avenue intersection while crews update traffic signals and construct turn lanes. Division Street will be down to a single lane during this project, which is expected to last through the end of July.

Drivers can expect nighttime lane closures on Highway 15 and Division Street in St. Cloud. This $2.2 million road resurfacing project is scheduled to wrap up by early August. The lane closures will be in effect from 9:00 pm and 6:00 am.

Finally, lane closures will take place this week on the Highway 24 bridge near Clearwater. Bridge traffic will be restricted to one lane over the bridge as crews perform routine maintenance.
