Make Sure Your Vote Counts–Ballot Must Be Received by Tuesday
By Nathan Daggett / Assistant News Director
A Federal Court of Appeals has ruled that all absentee and mail ballots in Minnesota must be received by Election Day in order to be counted.
Voters in Stearns County have several options to ensure their vote is counted in the General Election, however, putting a ballot in the mail now will mean your vote will not be counted:
- Voters who have already put in their ballot in the mall can track their ballot online. If the ballot has not yet been received, you can vote in-person either by absentee or at your polling place on Election Day.
- Voters can deliver their ballots to several ballot drop off locations or the West Service Center drive-thru drop off location.
- Voters can cast their vote in person with an absentee ballot at their local election office up until November 2.
- Voters can cast their votes in person on Election Day, Tuesday.
Ballot drop off locations, absentee ballot locations and hours of service can be found here. For more information, call Stearns County elections office at 320-656-3920.
