A man is in jail after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Saturday. St. Cloud Police were called to the 500 block of 15th Avenue Southeast for a domestic disturbance. Police learned that the victim, a 27-year-old St. Cloud woman, had been assaulted by being thrown to the ground and choked by her boyfriend identified as 22-year-old Anthony Reese.

The victim had minor injuries but did not require medical attention. Reese was taken to the Benton County Jail and is facing charges of felony domestic strangulation.
