A St. Cloud man is in jail after waving a knife around and threatening to kill people after an argument early Sunday morning. St. Cloud Police were called to the 100 block of 21st Avenue North just after 3:30 a.m. for a knife complaint.

Police say 29-year-old Shane Robert Gerads went to his girlfriend’s residence and got into a fight with people inside before walking out of the residence after stating he was allegedly going to grab a gun and kill everyone.

Police say Gerads then displayed a knife and began waving it near people who were at the residence. Gerads is currently being held at the Stearns County Jail and facing charges of second degree assault, terroristic threats and possession of drug paraphernalia.
