A Rice man is seriously hurt after the tractor he was riding was rear-ended by a car. It happened Wednesday night in Rice at the intersection of County Road 22 and 55th Avenue Northeast. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office says 21-year-old Brent Roy Seppelt was riding a tractor west on County Road 22 when a car driven by a 16-year-old girl hit the back of his tractor. When deputies arrived, they found Seppelt pinned underneath the tractor. Crews lifted the tractor off of him and he was airlifted to the hospital. The Sheriff’s Office says it does not believe alcohol played a role in this crash.
