A Saint Cloud man is in custody after reports of a domestic assault in progress at about 10:45 last Thursday night. Police say they had probable cause to arrest 49-year-old Christopher Neal of Saint Cloud for assault and interference with a 911 call.

Officers made contact with Neal at the 1200 block of 15th Avenue South east. A 57-year-old woman and a 41-year-old woman left the scene as officers arrived. Neal has had three prior domestic assault convictions since 2005 and is being held at the Sherburne County Jail for his court date on charges of felony domestic assault and gross misdemeanor interference with a 911 call.
