An extremely intoxicated man that was brought to the detox center early Tuesday morning allegedly threatened to kill an arresting officer and his family.  On February 16, Saint Cloud Police brought 50-year-old Danial Paul Hughes of Saint Cloud to the detox center. Police say he became very angry, so the officers attempted to place Hughes under arrest.  Hughes began fighting with the officers. He was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and obstructing legal justice and taken to the Stearns County Jail.  Once at the Stearns County Jail, Hughes told police that once he was released from jail he would get a gun and kill the officer and the officer’s family who arrested him.  Hughes is currently being held at the Stearns County Jail for terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and obstructing legal process. No one was hurt in this incident.
