A St. Cloud man’s jaw was broken after being hit in the face with a drinking glass early Sunday morning. St. Cloud Police went to the St. Cloud Hospital for a report of an assault just after midnight.

A police investigation found that the 38-year-old victim had been assaulted by a 49-year-old man in the 500 block of 16th Avenue North in St. Cloud. Police found 49-year-old Melvin Vinson of St. Cloud at the scene of the assault and arrested him. Vinson was taken to the Stearns County Jail where he is being charged with 3rd degree assault.
