A St. Cloud man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. It happened Friday just before midnight on the 200 block of 14th Avenue Southeast. The St. Cloud Police department says 43-year-old Terry York assaulted his 31-year-old girlfriend. Police arrived at the home and told York he was under arrest. That’s when, police say, the man became combative and struggled with officers. York was taken to the Benton County Jail where he was held for court on charges of assault, obstructing legal process and disorderly conduct. Police say York and the victim both had minor injuries and both refused medical treatment.
