An Avon man managed to walk away with his life and no injuries after crashing his vehicle into a lake Friday evening.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says the man was driving down County Road 9 in Avon when the driver suffered a medical condition that caused him to lose control of his car. He left the roadway and entered the ditch before continuing through a yard and down a hill into Lower Spunk Lake.

First responders helped the driver out of the lake, and a tow truck removed his car from the water.
