St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis has appointed a new City Attorney,

Kleis announced yesterday that Renee Courtney will be taking the position. Courtney spent the past year working as the Deputy City Attorney, and prior to that worked as the assistant County Attorney for Stearns County where her focus was on the criminal division.

Since graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2003 and finishing law school at Hamline University in 2006, Courtney has spent the last 13 years working public administration in the St. Cloud area.
