Archived: Mended Hearts Program Offers Support for Patients, Family and Friends

Living with heart disease can be difficult for patients and loved ones alike. Lifestyle changes including switching to a healthier diet require involvement not only on the patient’s part but also the support and understanding of family and friends in order to keep on the right track.

The Mended Hearts program, supported by the Central Minnesota Heart Center at St. Cloud Hospital, offers advice and support for patients, family, and friends in the face of heart disease. The program offers services such as support group meetings and education forums. Members share personal experiences related to lifestyle changes, recovery, and treatment options in order to empower others facing similar challenges. Upcoming Mended Hearts support group meetings will be held monthly starting  Saturday, September 17 and going through December.
