The Huskies men’s basketball team ended March 11th with a loss in second round of the NCAA central regional tournament. The Huskies finished the season with a record of 20-9. 

Longtime head coach Kevin Schlagel earned his 300th career win on February 17th against Northern State. Coach Schlagel has now posted eight 20-win seasons in his career. 

2011-12 also saw the end of a legendary career for Brett Putz (Forest City, Iowa). Putz is the all-time leader in games played for the Huskies with 124 and and is second all-time in three pointers made with 245.
