Archived: Meth Bust in Big Lake

Three people have been arrested in Sherburne County after sheriff’s deputies discovered a methamphetamine lab in a shed on a property in Big Lake. Officials say the lab was found on the 18000 block of 146th Street Northwest in Big Lake Township. Investigators arrested 71-year-old Glenda Lawson of Big Lake, 47-year-old Charles Green of Anoka, and 49-year-old Gregory Longley.

When officials executed a search warrant Thursday, they say all three of the suspects were at the home, and one of them was actively cooking meth when they arrived. Investigators searched the property and found meth, hallucinogenic mushrooms, marijuana, and an active meth lab in the shed next to the home. An independent contractor was called to dismantle the operation. Lawson, Green and Longley are being held in the Sherburne County Jail.
