A freshman lawmaker from St. Cloud is bringing in a big hitter to help fundraise for his campaign for a second term. Dan Wolgamott is welcoming Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to kick-off his re-election bid to serve another term in Minnesota House District 14-B.

Wolgamatt’s campaign committee is hosting a special fundraiser tonight at Pantown Brewing in north St. Cloud. The event is running from 5 to 7 p.m. and requires an online RSVP to attend.

Wolgamott is 28-years-old and serves on the Corrections, Capital Investment, Higher Education Finance and Transportation committee. He took over a seat previously held by Jim Knoblach.

Knoblach bowed out of the race last September amid allegations made by his adult daughter about years of inappropriate physical touching.
