Archived: Minnesota Historical Society Announces Recipients of Final Round 2011 Fast Track Grants

The Minnesota Historical Society announced the recipients of its final round of Fast Track Grants for 2011. These grants have provided support for organizations throughout the state to preserve what they call “projects of endearing value”. One of the organizations to receive a grant is SCSU’s research library who will receive more than six-thousand dollars to acquire one-hundred-fourteen rolls of newspapers on microfilm. Another recipient is the College of St. Benedict who will receive nearly seven-thousand dollars to conduct thirty interviews to document the college’s history for its sesquicentennial. The city of Buffalo will also receive a grant of nearly five-thousand dollars to hire a historian to research and prepare a historic study of the city. In all sixty-five organizations around the state will benefit from this round of grants.
