Archived: MnScu to hold conference for educators

Educators are invited to attend a working institute on a K-12 and Higher Education Collaborations for Student Success.  

The goal of the conference is to have educators come together to share ideas and strategies to promote college readiness and success for underrepresented students. Participants will include faculty and administrators from Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, representatives from their k-12 partner schools and districts as well as other educators interested in promoting successful transitions to college for their underrepresented students.

The morning session will include a keynote address from MnScu’s incoming vice chancellor for academic and student affairs Doug Knowlton, as well as the superintendent of the St. Cloud Area School District 742 Bruce Watkins. The event is co-sponsored by St. Cloud State University’s Access and Opportunity Center of Excellence and will be held in Brooklyn Park on Wednesday February 29th.

The event is free to participants who register and registrants will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
