Archived: MnSCU Transfer Bill Sent to Governor
A bill that would make it easier to transfer college credits between campuses within the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system is now on Governor Tim Pawlenty’s desk. The bill unanimously passed through the Senate in a 55-0 vote. Senator Tarryl Clark of St. Cloud says this is a common-sense fix to a problem students have been facing since the MnSCU system was created 15 years ago.
The bill also directs MnSCU to align curriculum among campuses, ease transfers between similar programs, and make transfer information easier to access online.
