St. Cloud Police and St. Cloud State University teamed up to oversee the University’s Move-In weekend.

The police department is reporting a drop in the number of offenses and arrests compared to last year’s move-in weekend. Last year, police recorded 310 charges for various offenses compared to 268 offenses reported this year.

A total of 196 people were arrested or cited, 79 of which are current SCSU students. 60% of those arrested or cited were not students.

25 people were booked into the Stearns County Jail on charges related to Move-In day enforcement.

The St. Cloud Police are thanking the residents and University officials for their cooperation and efforts.
