Archived: National Crime Victims’ Right’s Week

National Crime Victims’ Rights Week kicks off this year starting on Sunday, April 22nd. The week is dedicated to honor crime victims and our nation’s progress in advancing their rights.

This year’s theme is “Extending the Vision: Reaching Every Victim” which is aimed to celebrate the vision behind that progress and the ideal of serving all victims of crime.

Stearns, Benton and Sherburne Counties will observe the week with different events and programs such as Just for Teens 2012 and Evening of Remembrance.

Just for Teens 2012 will be on Sunday, April 22nd at the Becker Community Center from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature booths from local organizations, inflatables, a MADD crash car, KCLD Radio Station and door prizes. 

Evening of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, April 26th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the St. Cloud Police Department.  It will be a program that will help to inspire people with stories of survival, recovery and victory.
