Archived: Nonprofit to Break Ground on Wheelchair Accessible Field
A central Minnesota nonprofit is breaking ground on a baseball field specifically designed for children with disabilities. The Miracle League of Central Minnesota will break ground on Miracle League Field Monday at 3:30 pm near the southwest corner of Whitney Regional Park in St. Cloud. It will be a baseball and softball field accessible for children with physical challenges.
The Miracle League of Central Minnesota is still accepting donations to go toward the construction of bathroom facilities and a shade area for kids using the field. So far, the Miracle League has raised $34,000 of the $100,000 goal. For details on how to donate, click here.
On Thursday, August 26 at 12:30pm, Brad Barz, President of the Miracle League of Central Minnesota, will be in the KVSC studio for a live interview during our noon newswatch program.
