Archived: Noteworthy SCSU Alum to Speak on Campus

A St. Cloud State alum and award-winning teacher will give a speech on campus Tuesday morning. Marcia Nelson, 2003 graduate of the Educational Administration graduate program, will speak about her experiences as an alternative high school teacher and night school principal for the Anoka-Hennepin School District and her devotion to educating at-risk students. Nelson was recognized as one of only 16 national educators to be named a Freedom Writer Teacher.

Her presentation is part of the SCSU College of Education’s “Student Voices” series. The speech will take place in the Education Building, room A-226, at 9:30 Tuesday morning.
