Archived: October Weather Couldn’t Make Up its Mind

With weather that went from mild conditions to what seemed like a five day land hurricane, October weather was all over the map. The scattered weather of the month of October has been summarized by St. Cloud State University’s Meteorology Professor Bob Weisman. A look back at the month details a warmer than normal October that started out bone-dry and was then interrupted by five “amazing days in the teeth of the storm that set the record low pressure in the state of Minnesota,” Weisman reports. The first half of October gave us conditions that were typical of mid-September with two days in the eighties as well. There were two rainfall records set as well.  For more information of on October’s weather visit web.stcloudstate.edu/raweisman/monthlysummaries/Oct2010.html
