Law Enforcement officials stopped 88 drivers, issued 19 citations and arrested one person during Cold Spring’s Fire Fest. The Central Minnesota Reduction of Accidents for Safe Highways Task Force, or CRASH Task Force, patrolled County Road 2 last Saturday, July 31. The goal is to reduce serious injury and fatality crashes.

In all, the task force issued 8 seat belt citations, one speeding citation and one DWI arrest, among others. The CRASH task force is made up of officers from law enforcement agencies all over Central Minnesota.
