A 19-year-old St. Cloud man was arrested for possessing marijuana and running from officers. Just after 1:00 pm Monday, St. Cloud Police pulled over a car on the 1000 block of 4th Street Southeast in St. Cloud for a license plate violation. Immediately upon stopping, police say the passenger, Gregory Wimberly, got out of the car and started running away. Police say they caught up with Wimberly a short distance away and arrested him. Police say Wimberly was violating a no contact order with the driver of the car. Officers also found three large baggies of marijuana they say Wimberly threw underneath a car. Wimberly was brought to the Benton County Jail where he faces charges of possession, fleeing officers, and violating a no contact order.
