PAYNESVILLE TWP., Minn. – A Paynesville man is in the hospital after he was accidentally run over by a tractor.
Around 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 30, the Stearns County Emergency Communications Center received a report of the incident, which occurred at a house on Dolphin Drive in Paynesville Township.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered that 30-year-old Jerrod Quade had brought a Case International 4230 tractor to the house and brought it inside a pole shed.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says Quade was showing a neighbor how to start the tractor and was standing in front of the back right tire.
When the tractor started, it was still in gear and started moving forward. Quade got pulled down, and the tractor rolled over him.
Quade was transported to the Paynesville Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
