Photojournalist Jakob Gilk will give the public a rare glimpse into cultural differences from the countries he visited during his 2009 summer semester. Highlighted countries will be South Africa, China, and New Zealand. Gilk’s mentor is George Hallet who was last year’s SCSU “Voicings” guest of honor and former photographer for Nelson Mandela. Gilk is a former visuals editor at the University Chronicle and hopes to showcase his commitment to story-telling photos and to celebrating cultural differences and similarities.

This free presentation will be from noon to 1:00 pm in room 122 of Stewart Hall on the Saint Cloud State Campus. Guests are welcome to bring their own bag lunch.
