On Friday night St. Cloud Police were called to the 1100 block of 24th Street Southeast for an assault. Officers spoke with two adult staff members of the group home located at that address.

The police investigation revealed that a juvenile female had assaulted the two staff members leaving multiple non-life threatening injuries. During the assault the juvenile had allegedly attempted to gain access to a knife in order to kill one of the staff members.

At the time the juvenile had fled the scene and had not been located. Later that night the 13-year-old St. Cloud resident was located in a wooded area near 15th avenue SE and Highway 10.

She was taken into custody and was transported to the Sherburne County Jail. She will be charged pending formal complaint for terroristic threats and assault.
