Archived: Police Find Drugs, Grenade In Waite Park Home
Three people are in custody after police discover drugs and a grenade in a home in Waite Park. Members of the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force executed a search warrant at 45 Maple Street Northeast in Waite Park just after 5 a.m. Wednesday. Officers found 47 point 5 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
Police arrested 29-year-old Jeremy James Bentler of Waite Park, 26-year-old Tonya Marie Bentler of Waite Park and 25-year-old Anthony James Kraus of St. Cloud. While searching the home, police found an old hand grenade. The St. Paul Bomb Squad was able to remove and dispose of the grenade.
Both Jeremy and Tonya Bentler are facing charges of 1st degree controlled substance while Kraus is facing a gross misdemeanor warrant for domestic assault.
