A St. Cloud man is in jail after allegedly cutting locks off of storage lockers and attempting to take items inside. Benton County Sheriff Officers were called to a burglary in progress at 780 Mayhew Lake Road Northeast in Sauk Rapids Township around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

The caller told deputies they saw a man cutting locks off of storage lockers and then hid inside a locker when they saw the caller. Deputies attempted to open the door of the locker the suspect was believed to be hiding in but were unable to open the unit. When backup officers arrived, they were able to open the door and found the suspect inside.

38-year-old Lenny Bissell was taken to the Benton County Jail where he is being held on charges of 2nd degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.
