St. Cloud Police found a man passed out in a vehicle that was still running while stopped at a stop sign late Friday night. Police went the intersection of Briar Lane and Bent Tree Drive around 10:20 p.m. after a suspicious vehicle was reporter.

Police found 50-year-old Donald Joseph Green Jr. of St. Cloud passed out in the driver’s seat of the running vehicle. Police say Green appeared to be intoxicated and found an open alcoholic beverage in the passenger seat. Green refused a breath test and performed poorly in the field sobriety test. Officials say Green has three previous DWI convictions within 10 years and a cancelled inimical to public safety driver’s status.

Green is currently being held in the Stearns County Jail on charges of first degree DWI, first degree DWI refusal, open container in a motor vehicle and driving while cancelled inimical to public safety.
