Waite Park Police were called to the 600 block of 7th Street South on Monday to complaints of shots being fired. The location of the shots was right across the street from Discovery School, which was put in lockdown on Monday as a precaution. The school was not the location of the incident.

According to police reports, a large group of people gathered, an argument developed and an individual fired shots into an occupied mini-van. Witnesses then told police the suspects were seen running toward 7th Street South. There were no reports of injuries from the incident.
